Hello everyone,

some players make 80-90% of their bids. Could someone please enlighten me as to how they are doing this ?

There are some things I understand about Wizard. For example, that if the hand is underbid then you should try to avoid making tricks and the other way around if it is overbid.

And I know that 7-10 are "dangerous" cards that could lead to an unwanted trick if underbid but are not strong enough to make a trick when overbid.

But when I'm first to bid I don't know if it will be underbid or not. To me it feels like pure luck. But if that were true there wouldn't be strong players who almost always succeed.

Can someone give me some insights, please ?

I think you may find some of the tips found in "Bidding" to be helpful.
