Wizard Junior Debuts

Wizard Junior, a family-oriented version of Wizard, is coming to a store near you.

Wizard Cards International Inc. of Toronto, Canada announced plans to introduce a family version of its popular "Wizard Card Game". Ken Fisher, the game's creator says the junior version contains all the elements that make the original game so much fun. The junior version will consist of a 36-card deck made up of 2 Wizards, 2 Jesters and 32 cards of 4 different colors numbered 1-8. The junior game which will be available this summer features all new graphics and promises to bring the excitement of Wizard to young and old alike.

"Wizard Cards" and "U.S. Games" also announced the third annual Wizard tournament, titled "Wizard Fest 2006". It will be held in Stamford, CT on June 24. There is no entry fee and over $1000 in prizes will be awarded. Another tournament, "The Grand Prix Card Tournaments" to be held in St. Louis, Missouri on October 6-9 will introduce "Wizard" as an exhibition tournament. Finalists at both events will receive Master Points required to attain the 5 levels of Wizardry.
